How one stock count works

Updated 18 Aug 2026

Overselling happens when each channel keeps its own stock number. MiniTaka holds one count per SKU, and every channel draws from it, so a sale on Amazon lowers what your D2C store shows too.

Set your available quantity

Enter the real quantity you can ship. MiniTaka splits that number across channels based on the rules you set, or shows the full number everywhere if you prefer. As orders arrive, the count drops on all channels at once.

Buffers and reserves

  • Set a buffer to hold back a few units, useful when a marketplace is slow to report a sale.
  • Reserve stock for a specific channel during a sale event, then release it afterwards.
If your warehouse and MiniTaka ever disagree, MiniTaka treats your entered available quantity as the truth and corrects the channels to match.
