Set up variants

Updated 16 Aug 2026

A variant is a version of the same product, such as a shirt in three sizes or a spice in two pack weights. MiniTaka keeps variants under one parent so stock and pricing stay tidy across channels.

Add variants

  • Open the product and choose Add variants.
  • Pick the attributes that vary, for example size and colour. Each combination becomes a sellable unit with its own SKU, price and stock.
  • Give every variant its own barcode or ASIN where it has one. Amazon treats each child as a separate listing.

How variants map per channel

Amazon uses a parent and child structure that must match its category rules. When a rule differs, we flag it in the approvals queue rather than guessing, so a wrong variant theme does not get published. Your D2C store shows variants as a picker on the product page.

Keep the number of variants realistic. A parent with 40 rarely used children is harder to manage and slower to update than splitting it into two products.

Send a screenshot. Support has your account open already, so you do not have to explain it twice.
